Part of the North York Moors National Park’s Guided Walks Programme.
Enjoy views of the Vale of Pickering and Howardian Hills on this 6½-mile circular walk with Richard Culmer. Take in the architecture of Ampleforth College, including the church designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, with the option of sampling its tea room and admiring the Mouseman of Kilburn’s furniture.
There are some stiles on the walk and a steep descent back into Ampleforth. Steep ascents and descents (pavements, roads and steps). Varied and uneven surfaces.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Packed lunch required. Dogs allowed on short lead. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an *****.
Our guided walks are free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.
