Dance Ground - Calling Forth | James Bay Athletic Association | Thursday, 18. January 2018

Whether you are just starting to awaken out of the incubation and hibernation of the winter that was or whether the return of the light is cracking new seeds of a brighter hope to come… As the sound of thawing happens how are you calling forth the spring of life ahead?

Let us gather, dance, and explore not 'What' we are calling out from the new year but rather 'How' our dance, our resonance, our voice shapes and beats, affects the space between us instead.

“A loud voice cannot compete with a clear voice, even if it’s a whisper.” Barry Neil Kauffman

Within the container of the music and dance… come practice getting comfortable with your own unique gifts of sound, learning to express, the width, depth, clarity of calling out.

Here we will explore... perhaps as a tribe but most certainly within ourselves, with vocals, with feet, hands, the floor, etc… all as tools for expressing, communicating, summoning up and out, the ongoing mastery of our own self expression.

Come and move at your own pace, no dance or other experience necessary.

All are encouraged and all are welcome.
