Vancouver, Canada Celebrity Millennium September 14-30, 2018 | Vancouver, British Columbia | Friday, 14. September 2018

Embark on a 16-night journey across the North Pacific aboard the Celebrity Millennium®. Begin your ocean voyage in Vancouver, Canada, and sail to the Gulf of Alaska. Cruise the Bering Sea and travel beyond the 14 volcanic Aleutian Islands, continuing across the Pacific to your final stop in Tokyo, Japan. After a few days at sea, on Day 6 of your cruise, stop in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, to explore this important fishing hub. Continue across the Pacific Ocean and cross the International Dateline.

Reach the Japanese coast and visit top sites in Otaru, a charming port city known for superb arts and crafts. See the Otaru Taisho Glass Palace and view the exquisite beauty of its fragile exhibit pieces. At the Otaru Music Box Museum, housed in a magnificent century-old building, marvel at the impressive array and craftsmanship of the countless melody-makers on hand.

The next port of call is Hakodate, Japan. Stop at Haidakko, Japan’s northernmost island, to explore Hakodate. Hike Mt. Hakodate to see the renowned view of the landscape. Return to the city to browse more than 280 shops in the morning market or visit numerous historic sites. The next day, stop at volcanic Mt. Fuji, regarded by many as sacred. From there, arrive in Tokyo, Japan, and disembark.

What we love:
• Mt. Fuji is Japan’s tallest mountain at 12,388 feet (3,776 meters).
• Dutch Harbor, Alaska, was ranked as the most valuable fishing port in the United States by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in 2012, with more than 750 million pounds (340 million kilograms) of fish entering the port.
• At the south end of Otaru Canal lies Sakaemachi Street Historic District, where old banks and trading houses have been converted into quaint boutiques and shops.
