Kristina Lao
Kristina Lao is a nerdy, wordy, folk-pop singer-songwriter and actor. Her music features rich Brit-lilt vocals and long, lyrical walks in a poetry park. Adoring Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, and a well-stepped cup of tea, Kristina has almost finished her latest artistic challenge "First Take Songs", from which this song will be 50 of 52. Her EP is in production with Fiend Recordings, and she has just returned from her first “Word Tour”, a self-curated content creation trip to the U.K.

Nicole Mikala
Back in August, Nicole Mikala quit her office job transcribing dog shows and horrendous Canadian reality to pursue childhood dreams of singing and songwriting. Delayed by a serious case of stage fright, Nicole has been facing her fears over the last couple years by singing at open mics and sharing lyrics very personal to her life with people from all over. Nicole's Spotify account usually suggests playlists with names like "Just Cry" or "Building that Booty". In fact, one of her fears is her gym playlist being leaked. Nicole only started performing originals this past summer and has begun this career singing about heavier themes like loss and mental health. Nicole dreams of writing hit songs and giving a voice to those who need it.

Rachael Schroeder
Rachael Schroeder is a singer, songwriter, producer and audio engineer based out of Vancouver, BC. She grew up listening to Imogen Heap, Queen, Electric Light Orchestra, and Ella Fitzgerald. Rachael is passionate about creating a sense of belonging through her music. Her synesthesia (perceiving music and sound as colour) allows her to paint her songs with a distinctive musical palette. Rachael is currently creating her next EP, playing shows around Vancouver, working in the industry, and is a happily recovering perfectionist.
