Acclaimed west coast guitarist and composer, Tony Wilson, has been an integral part of Canada’s jazz and improvised music community for many years. His work with groups such as the Peggy Lee band and Pugs And Crows, as well as his own groups, has taken him across North America to display his beautiful sound and thoughtful approach.

Prodigious young trumpet player Thad Bailey-Mai is quickly making a name for himself as one of Canada’s most exciting new voices on the instrument. His virtuosic playing soars through his compelling original compositions.

Sharon Minemoto Quartet

Pianist Sharon Minemoto is one of Vancouver’s most recognizable names. Her frequent collaborations with musicians such as Bill **** and Cory Weeds showcase her lyrical, swinging sound. Tonight Sharon and her quartet play original music from her newest album “Safe Travels” before going on a Canadian Tour.

This explosive ensemble will be playing hard swinging original tunes at full blast! Canadian jazz legend Hugh Fraser, and west coast treasures Danny Kane on saxophone and Tom Wherrett on guitar colead this incredible group!

Dan Gaucher ****

Drummer and band leader Dan Gaucher leads a chordless **** through tunes from the jazz cannon as well as original compositions and free improvisations. Dan’s distinct style has contributed to the sounds of an eclectic mix of ensembles from his own Sun Ra tribute projects to the groups of Cat Toren, Ben Henriques and The October ****.
