  • PowerBar gels will be located at 12k (half and full marathon) and 28k (full marathon) in Vanilla, Tangerine and Strawberry-Banana! Water, Gatorade & Medical Services will be available at the Pre-Race Area and Finish line, and at all water stations along the courses every 2-4 km. Gatorade flavour on the course will be lemon lime.

  • This year, Bike Share Toronto will be providing a free bike shuttle service between Nathan Phillips Square and the Enercare Centre on Friday and Saturday during Expo Hours! For those that want to choose a ‘greener’ way to travel, join one of our guided Bike Shuttle groups to pick up your packet.   • The Canada Running Series and the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon have partnered with racePOINT, an interactive map that provides information for PARTICIPANTS, SPECTATORS and RESIDENTS of Toronto! Spectators : "Predict" tab will determine when your runner will reach each cheer site and the finish line. Available for the Marathon & Half Marathon races. “Markers” tab allows you to select “Cheer sites” and will show the location of the 12 Neighbourhood Cheering & Entertainment sites. It will also indicate what time participants will pass this location. Participants : "Route" tab indicates the locations of the water stations, km markers, Medical Tents, Cheer sites, Key Areas in the pre & post-race area, etc. Spectators, Participants and Toronto residents: "Closures" tab shows what roads will be closed . Click the "Show Closures by Time" button and then drag the slider at the bottom to change the map time. You'll see red lines appear on certain roads that will be closed at that time for the race.   • Join Canada Running Series and New Balance Canada at the High Park Running Room for a special training run this Wednesday September 20th at 6:30 p.m. in preparation for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half Marathon & 5k. New Balance Trackster Dylan Day will be offering his expertise skills on the 3D Foot Scan. This scanner provides a 3D model visualization of both feet within a few seconds, providing you with information and key measurements that include shoe size, ball width, heel to toe length and arch height. Runners will also have the opportunity to test out some of the latest New Balance shoes! Here are the distances scheduled for tomorrow: - Learn-to-Run: 4K (8 mins running, 1 min walk intervals) - 5K: 4.5-5K (10 mins running, 1 min walk intervals) - Half-Marathon: 7K steady - Marathon: 2 options: Speedwork (7 sets of 1 minute hard, 2 mins jog) OR 9K steady.

  • We are excited to announce that the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon has achieved Gold Level Certification from the Council for Responsible Sport! As the only certified event in Toronto, we earned credit on 45 of the best practice standards offered in the Council’s certification program for social and environmental responsibility at sporting events. Credits included: - 135 pairs of lightly used running shoes were collected and redistributed through partner organization Community Education Services - CES Canada,which provides secondary school education for youth orphaned in Kenya. - 740 pounds of food was donated to local food bank Second Harvest. - Continual improvements to a comprehensive solid waste management plan to strive for high rates of diversion from landfill.
