This one-day event presented by ICLC will focus on issues specifically surrounding LGBTIQ rights and the law.

Relevant for those who want to understand what rights LGBTIQ individuals have and the law on LGBTIQ issues. Students who are also heavily interested in this area are most welcome to join at a student rate.*

It has also been tailored for the legal profession, accounting for 6CPD units in compliance with the Law Society of NSW legal CPD scheme (further details in FAQs below).

Does this comply with CPD rules as set out in the Solicitors Rules?

Yes. This event consists of a CPD activity as set out in CPD Rule 8.1 of the Legal Profession Uniform Continuing Professional Development (Solicitors) Rules 2015 ("the Solicitors Rules"). It complies with the Law Society of NSW legal CPD scheme.The range of topics to be addressed at the event will cover at least one mandatory CPD unit in each of the following fields as set out in CPD Rule 6.1 of the Solicitors Rules:

6.1.1 ethics and professional responsibility,
6.1.2 practice management and business skills,
6.1.3 professional skills,
6.1.4 substantive law.
