"The comprehension of this Wild Woman nature is not a religion but a practice. It is a psychology in its truest sense...a knowing of the soul. Without her, women are without ears to hear soultalk or to register the chiming of their own inner her, they forget why they’re here, they hold on when they would best hold out. Without her they are silent when they are in fact on fire. She is their regulator, she is their soulful heart, the same as the human heart regulates the physical body.” -Clarissa Pinkola Estés
----
Wild Woman Psyche: Eight-Week Series is an opportunity for self-identified wild women to gather and deep dive into the wild woman nature and psychology. The course focuses on major themes from Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run with the Wolves. Throughout the series we will explore different myths from an archetypal, depth-psychology perspective grounded in somatic exploration. (Please note is it important to own or have access to the book before the group begins.)

This eight-week course is a brave, supportive and embodied space for women to connect, work edges around vulnerability and be witnessed in their wildness, together. Beautiful things can happen personally and collectively when we are able to express our unique and collective struggles, gifts, passions and pains in a nourishing environment.

Participants will experience:
*Access a deeper level of understanding and knowledge of the wild woman archetype in mythology
*Initiating oneself more into one's inner wild woman
*Embodied practices to develop intuition and inner knowing (touchstones of the wild nature)
*Opportunity to connect with a community of women

All self-identified women welcome and this is a trauma-informed space.

DETAILS:
*Wednesdays 7:30-9 p.m. in SF (870 Market St, Suite 919)
*Possible East Bay Group - (if interested, select time in registration page that works for you)
*$500 for all 8 weeks (payment plans available)

  • “The psyches and souls of women also have their own cycles and seasons of doing and solitude, running and staying, being involved and being removed, questing and resting, creating and incubating, being of the world and returning to the soul-place.” ― Clarissa Pinkola Estés ------ Make space for soul-care this busy season on Saturday, December 9, for a half-day retreat with nourishment of all sorts. Together we will explore the wisdom of Clarissa Pinkola Estes' famous "Women Who Run With the Wolves" from a depth psychology perspective and ground it in somatic mindfulness practices while we eat and connect. • Hello Wild Women! This week has been a week of new beginnings...the new moon, new year (Jewish and Islamic traditions), and a new season (autumn equinox today). I was sitting with my own desire to harmonize the complementary energies of unity and duality found within me during new cycles. The beauty of being both wild and tame, active and restful, Earth and Ether, light and dark, masculine and feminine, above and below, death and life, sun and moon, young and old, expansion and contraction. To me, this is work of the wild woman, to make peace and reconcile with the inherent paradox in our experience as the mirroring of cycles internally and externally. Per usual Ms. Estés says it best when it comes to nature and the rhythms of the Wild Woman, “As a woman lives them, she will understand more and more of these interior feminine rhythms, among them the rhythms of creativity, or birthing psychic babies and perhaps also human ones, the rhythms of solitude, of play, of rest, of sexuality, and of the hunt.” ― Clarissa Pinkola Estés
  • Any East Bay courses coming up?
  • When is the next group? Thanks.
  • Daily Inspo for you all....."So whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, a woman-loving woman, a man-loving woman, or a God loving woman all of the above: Whether you are possessed of a simple heart of the ambitions of an Amazon, whether you are trying to make it to the top of just make it through tomorrow, whether you be spicey or somber, regal or roughshod, - the Wild Woman belongs to you. She belongs to all women." — CLARRISA PINKOLA ESTÉS Monday's group started this week and it was juicy. Rebecca M Farrar are blown away by the courage, depth, compassion and fierceness that lives within all of you wild women. *****We have a handful of spots left for the Wednesday SF group.**** Starts in 2 weeks! • “The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.” -------- Hello Wild Women! The door is open...Monday the six-week series begins and we have one spot left to join. (Follow link in Event Info to register.) For anyone who wants to spend six weeks deep diving into Women Who Run with the Wolves but isn't available on Mondays, Dana Marie Nielsen and I have decided to do a second group in SF on Wednesdays instead of East Bay. We really wanted to have an Easy Bay group to serve the East Bay women, but it seems like there is more of a pull to have two SF groups than one East Bay and one SF, so we are rolling with that. The updated Wednesday Wild Woman begins in October in SF, link below for more info: October 4-November 8 Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm The Flood Building, 870 Market St, Suite 919. * (It's just a few steps from Powell Street BART)
  • Hi Beauties! Our SF group series kicks off in ONE WEEK! If you are thinking about joining, get on it because we've got just a few spots left. • I was going to post a quote on here today from Women Who Run with the Wolves on soul food, but then soul sister Dana Marie Nielsen posted this gem and I wanted to share: “All the “not readies,” all the “I need time,” are understandable, but only for a short while. The truth is that there is never a “completely ready,” there is never a really “right time.” As with any descent to the unconscious, there comes a time when one simply hopes for the best, pinches one’s nose, and jumps into the abyss.” — CLARRISA PINKOLA ESTÉS
