Child Abuse Identification and Reporting SeminarThis seminar fulfills the New York State requirement for chiropractors, dental hygienists, dentists, optometrists, physicians, podiatrists, psychologists, pupil personnel services professionals, registered nurses, school administrators and supervisors, school district administrators, and teachers who are applying for or renewing a license, registration, certificate, or limited permit. Course covers physical and behavioral indicators of maltreatment, physical, or sexual abuse; behavioral and environmental characteristics of abusive parents or caretakers; and identification of responsibility for reporting child maltreatment or abuse, and when and how to do it. Graphic slides will be shown. Participants receive the required NYS Certificate of Completion. Note: Late students will not be admitted (per NYS requirement). 3 hrs, 1 session.
