Qualify as a Mental Health First Aider; develop an in-depth understanding of mental health and the practical skills to support others.



Course Overview

Using an online learning platform and through a mix of independent learning and live online sessions, this course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider giving you:

-An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing

-Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues

-Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress

-Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening

-Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support - whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix

You will receive a certificate to confirm your training as well as the five-step MHFA action plan and comprehensive manual on completion of the course.



Course Structure

It typically takes 15 hours for a learner to complete the course. This is structured in the following way:

Individual learning – 1hr

Live session one – 1hr 45min - 11th August 10:30-12:15

Individual learning – 2hrs

Live session two – 2hrs 20min - 12th August 10:30-12:50

Individual learning – 2hrs

Live session three – 2hrs - 13th August 10:30-12:30

Individual learning – 2hrs

Live session four – 1hr 55min - 14th August 10:30-12:25

Every live session includes a 10min break.
