Covid-19 Circus Conversation - Wednesday 27 May 2020

On-line 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Please join us for a free online Conversation, bringing together people working in and with traditional and contemporary circus in England*. This event is organised by Circus Futures. We are the UK & ROI Coorganiser for circusnext, the EU Platform for emerging practitioners. In the UK we run talent development and connection initiatives for people working in circus.

We are moving online with our activities to offer fellow circus professionals the ability to talk about what matters to them most in this Covid-19 period. The focus for this session is on sustaining our sector and ensuring that we have a resilient network of circus professionals assisted through mutual collaboration. It has never been more important to pull together, to share experience and lift each other up.

We’ll have speakers to kick of the discussion, followed by a chance to break into smaller groups for more detailed discussion using the magic of Zoom. If you are interested in speaking about a project you were or are planning to deliver in 2020, or have any bright recovery ideas or plans, do let us know.

To help us structure the programme for the event, as well as registering, please take a moment to tell us what the top issue is that you would like to discuss using this link. This will be used within the breakout groups: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/circusbreakouttopic

To participate in the event, register here and reserve your free place. You’ll need to register online to ensure that you can log in. The cut-off for sign up is 6pm on Tuesday 26 May 2020. We will send you information about how to join on-line in the week that the event is taking place. If you have any questions about the event you can email me. We will circulate the notes to everyone after the session.

This on-line conference has been supported using public funding from Arts Council England and is lottery funded. There will be a second Covid-19 Circus Conversation focusing on Europe which will announced shortly. circusnext European Platform is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

Thank you so much for your time and interest.

Have you completed the Covid-19 Circus Survey? If you could take the time to complete this it will assist in building evidence of the impact on the industry: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/circuscovidsurveyinEngland

Stay safe.
