Woodworking Project: Make a Tool Box | MakeHaven | Sunday, 09. December 2018

You can make this stunning toolbox, for yourself or as the perfect handcrafted gift! No experience necessary.
In this class, students will layout, design, and build build a wooden toolbox. Using machine and power tools, students will mill lumber and rip and cross cut their materials according to their layout and cut list. Students will get instruction on shop and tool safety and assistance in operating all machinery necessary to complete their project. Students will leave the class with their own toolbox which can be painted or finished.

About the InstructorRoberto Mejias is a cabinetmaker with over 20 years of experience in high end woodworking and cabinetry. He completed a formal 5 year cabinetmakers apprenticeship through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in NYC. He has worked in various high end cabinet shops throughout the city including Stienway & Son's Piano Makers, Jacob Froehlich Architectural Woodwork and the John Langenbacher Company. He has experience in traditional solid wood construction, as well as furniture grade plywood and veneers. He can operate and maintain all shop machinery and hand tools and have trained apprentices while I was a journeyman cabinetmaker in New York. He enjoys teaching woodworking and would like to share experience and techniques with aspiring woodworkers.
