Take a Picture, NOT a Trophy: Protest Against Toronto Sportsmen Show | The International Centre | Saturday, 17. March 2018

The recent news that the Trump Administration would reverse the ban on elephant trophy imports from Zambia and Zimbabwe implemented by Obama generated a huge public outcry. Subsequently, Trump announced that he would put the decision on hold to further review conservation facts.

We need to continue to excrete pressure on the US government, AND also on our own government officials as Canada voted against moving all elephants to Appendix I to provide them the highest level of protection at the 2016 CITES meeting which took place in Johannesburg, South Africa - we MUST speak up for these intelligent, sentient beings.

Elephants need us now more than ever. We cannot allow trophy hunting to continue.

So please join us for a peaceful demonstration to protest the decision of The International Centre and the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show to allow Trophy Hunting Outfitters to exhibit and sell their hunting trips at the Sportsmen’s Show.

We will provide signage. However we encourage everyone to bring their own creative posters!

See you there! #SayNoToIvory #NoIvoryToronto #BanTrophyHunting
