SATINWOOD is a unique 5 piece group that serves up the best tunes of the 1970s... a stunning tribute to HARRY CHAPIN and Yusef CAT STEVENS features selections from Greatest Stories Live, Tea for the Tillerman, and other legendary works.
Authentic arrangements of unforgettable songs performed by the five-piece band featuring fully arranged versions complete with guitar, keyboard, bass, vocals as well as electric guitar, percussion, flute, woodwinds, cello featuring spot-on vocals and instrumentals …and even backed by Chapin's original drummer Howard Fields. Howard Fields joins Satinwood to deliver a night of timeless melodies. 
Satinwood’s new show, WILD TAXI, features favorites from legendary singer-songwriters Yusuf/Cat Stevens and Harry Chapin. Cat Steven’s “Oh Very Young”, “Hard Headed Woman” and Chapin’s “Better Place to Be” and “Cats in the Cradle” are some of the fully arranged renditions (including cello) that WILD TAXI performs. Satinwood is a group from northern CT/western MA, performs at venues throughout New England, and has shared the stage with artists Jonathan Edwards, Al Stewart, Don McLean, and Poco.
