  • 🕵️‍♀️101 Night Q&As on Gear and Nutrition 🎒What should I pack? 🎒 Read our Oxfam Trailwalker packing list and top gear tips here: bitly.com/OTWgear 👍Our top tip: test all your gear before event day! 🍫What should I eat? 🍫 Read our food and hydration tips here: bit.ly/OTWfood 👣 How can I avoid blisters and chafing? 👣 Read our blister and chafing prevention tips here: bit.ly/OTWblister 🕵️‍♀️ Want more tips from experts? 🕵️‍♀️ RSVP to our Paddy Pallin preparation nights about gear, nutrition and podiatry here: bit.ly/OTWMkeydates 👟Should I wear walking shoes or runners? 👟 Opinions are divided and you will have to find out what works for you during training. Wear a good pair of hiking shoes, boots or trail running shoes. Make sure they’re well broken-in before the event by wearing them on practice walks. Don’t wear new shoes for the event! 🙏 🥢Should I use walking poles? 🥢 Again, opinions are split on this topic. Some of us swear by our poles especially uphill and downhill. At least one set per team is advisable. You never know when a weary or injured team member will need the support that these poles provide. ⚠️Mandatory gear ⚠️ 📱One mobile phone per team member - preferably with at least two different networks for maximum coverage; ⛑️First aid kit including an emergency blanket per team member; 🔦One head torch per team member. ❓More questions ❓ Read our Oxfam Trailwalker FAQ bit.ly/OTW_FAQ We will keep posting Q&As from 101 night over the next few days on facebook. Happy walking! 🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

  • Hi, This is the 6th event I will be a part of, and I'm a bit disappointed because there are no posters in the kit. I emailed someone to get some sent out, but instead I have received the exact same stuff as I originally got. I would like some posters as that's how people respond at my workplace. Thanks.
