  • And here is what you have all been waiting for...Maria Lee Metheringham is our first guest attending Lytham Comic ***! As an Actress, Director and Writer from Yorkshire, she has appeared as lead in a number of low budget feature films across many genres, usually Horror, Action and Thriller in baddass, strong, tough female roles. As a Director she first started out making a number of shorts which soon branched out into full features of very obscure, lynchian inspired storylines and themes, which were released Worldwide. Her most successful were ‘The Photographer:Inside the Mind of a Psycho’ and the sequel ‘Inside the Dark Room’. She has recently completed her first 80s inspired Horror Slasher movie titled ‘Pumpkins’ which is due to be released in 2018 and currently doing the rounds on the film festival circuit. • You know it never ceases to amaze how good the old black and white sci-fi classics are! Bet you can't guess what film I have just watched for the umpteenth time. It's the one where Michael Renie says in the flick "tell Gort Klactu, Barrada, Nicto". Funny thing...when you look at Gort and his visor which when lowered fires a death ray, its reminiscant of The Destroyer used in the Marvel Comic book story line Thor, Journey Into Mystery 118.😎
