Protest Trump's visit | 10 Downing Street | Monday, 01. October 2018

It's just been announced: Donald Trump is coming to Britain on a state visit later this year.

We don't know when. But let's be ready - and be prepared to take to the streets in the most incredible protest in our history.
  • Happy Friday! Remember, a Meme a day keeps the spicy Nik nak away! 😘
  • The whole family, including the poodle, will be coming to protest and bark about this one.
  • Is there a new date for this?
  • I will come from Scotland to protest this lunatic!!
  • Adam Davies lets get in there with the wooks then sing the star spangled banner lound n proud when he does visit
  • I celebrate your absolute right to March peacefully and vocally against the visit of anyone whose values you disagree with (and there are many world leaders a lot worse than Trump!). However judging by many of the childish mocking and offensive posts on this site I fear that the March may be taken over by the sort of moronic airhead lemmings we see at anti-capitalist rallies whose only cause is to cause trouble. How are you going to police this so that only legitimate and fair criticism of Trumps actions is heard and it doesn't just turn into a pointless abuse-fest?
  • Dear England, my grandparents came from Tynemouth to America in the 1950's when my mother was a child. More of my family came until I lived on a dead end street with my great aunt and uncle on one side and my great grandparents on the other. This is to say that I had as British an upbringing as an American can get. I am the first generation of my family born in the US, and I love my country, I love GB, and I have what Trump is doing to it. We've protested his immigration ban, his election, his SOTU. Finding out so many agree with his politics of hate had been hard. I hope that anyone who can will turn out against him. His ego cannot abide it, it's a very effective tool. I hope we will soon be rid of him, and from my British heart, I say thank you.
  • Amazing how (deaf and) blind some people is... "to protest" doesn't necessarily mean "to throw rotten eggs/vegs./molotov bombs toward him"... To protest his visit is symbolic and means TO DISAGREE WITH HIM AND HIS REDNECK AGENDA. The above is for those (mostly brexiters) who just can't get their heads around the concept...no worries, it's fairly expected that you won't be able to understand...you don't have to understand the way those behind brexit and trump want..good puppies (y) Brexiters thinking of getting rid of the EU and run (as fast as you can) into the reasuring arms of uncle sam "to own back Britain": did any of you realize that the actual owners of the UK speak Russian and Arabic? ;)
  • One of the current scenarios is that Nicholas Soames will step aside to let Ruth Davidson take over his constituency (20,000 majority) and run for Tory leadership.
  • I would be interested but there is no way I'm going to London on a monday/Tuesday. I still have work!
  • y tho
  • 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 good luck and all the best with that 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
  • Why?
  • It is not anti-american to disagree with Donald Trump, no more than it is anti-British to disagree with our own government.
  • Donald Trump craves attention, and he appears to prefer negative attention to none. I think the best idea for his visit would be for everyone to either totally ignore it and for the streets of Westminster to be a ghost town, or for thousands to go and to turn their backs on him when he walks or drives past. We should dress conservatively, be totally silent, and disprove what Trump and his supporters inevitably accuse anti-Trump protesters of being..a rabble of "bad people". This would be quite an eloquent gesture but I don't know how you'd get people to do it, especially when there is such justified rage against him and his visit.
  • Yes, and not least because he cheats at golf.
  • I think we should show trump exactly the same hospitality as the people from banned countries get when arriving at america
