Antonia Fraser in conversation with Nick Rankin | Kensal Rise Library | Wednesday, 05. June 2019

Lady Antonia Fraser met  Nick Rankin when he was Chief Arts Producer at the World Service. Antonia will be talking to Nick and answering audience questions at this informal evening in a unique setting.                                               In aid of historic Kensal Rise Community Library, the only library ever to have been opened by Mark Twain.

Antonia Fraser is the highly distinguished author of many acclaimed historical works, biographies, novels, the Jemima Shore series of detective fiction, and memoirs. Antonia Fraser was made CBE in 1999, was awarded the Norton Medlicott Medal by the Historical Association in 2000 and made a DBE in 2010. She is the widow of the playwright and 2005 Nobel Laureate in Literature, Harold Pinter.
Nick Rankin was chief producer of arts at the BBC World Service, winning two UN awards for his eco series A Green History of the Planet. He has written books on WW2 and about a journey inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson. He has also written plays and short stories. Nick is married to fellow writer, Maggie Gee.
