Developing Staff: Coaching | Millsaps College, Murrah Hall Room 207 | Friday, 14. August 2020

All leaders and managers need to be developing their staff -  learning how to draw out the best in them and how to be confident when delegating key tasks.
Workplace coaching and mentoring has become an essential approach to developing both individual and team peak performance. Why? Because Coaching is forward-focused, keys in on outcomes, and how to get to those.  A coaching approach fosters collaboration and strong lasting partnerships between managers and employees, which generates an iterative cycle of trust, engagement, and development. This in turn leads to results including increased productivity, greater employee engagement, innovation, and lasting business relationships.
The temptation when coaching or mentoring someone is to provide solutions to problems. This course will help you find ways to hand the issues back to the person, provide constructive feedback that prompts learning, and encourage the person to find solutions for themselves.  All of which reduces your stress and theirs, and gives you more focus, time, and energy to do what you need to do.
The practical emphasis of this training means you can immediately use what you learn.
