2018 Reverend John C Holland Awards | LIUNA Station | Saturday, 10. February 2018

The Hamilton Black History Committee is pleased to host the 22nd Reverend John C Holland Awards on February 10, 2018.

The Awards were established to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our community, with a particular focus on the contributions of African Canadians to the social, economic, and cultural life of our entire city. Since its inception in 1996, the event has received broad support from the community.

Each year, hundreds of Hamiltonians join with the Black History Committee to acknowledge and celebrate excellence. These awards have become one of the premier events in our community and a valued symbol of achievement.

  • There’s been so much work that we’ve done. One major accomplishment has been to define our vision and mission, then create a brand that aligns with our goals. Enter Mark John Stewart and FlyPrint, our marketing partner: what a Godsend. He knew what we felt, listened to us, and then brought everything. to life. We can’t wait to share it with you on February 10th; in the meantime: THANK YOU Mark! #celebratingblackexcellence #JCHA2018
  • We are thrilled that ESB Lawyers has once again confirmed that they will be our Sponsoring Partner to present the Nelson Mandela Social Justice Scholarship on February 10th. Thank you for your continued support! #celebratingblackexcellence #JCHA2018
  • It goes without saying that we cannot make the impact that we do without the generous support of individuals and organizations in the community. Heartfelt thanks goes out to the The Hamilton Spectator, who has been our key media sponsor over the years, in addition to sponsoring one of our Youth Scholarships. Your contributions have touched the lives of many!
