The Music Of Our Times with Beverly Glenn-Copeland and Friends | The Halifax Music Co-op | Saturday, 20. January 2018

Like the misguided distinction between the mind and body, so composition and improvisation have been split apart unfairly. As we grapple with trying to understand our own modes of expression, we often fail to see that these techniques exist on a spectrum. OBEY Convention and suddenlyLISTEN Music have partnered on this incredible show to offer insight into that spectrum.

The evening will feature original compositions from the legendary Beverly Glenn-Copeland, supported by an ensemble of local stalwarts including Nick Dourado, Bianca Palmer, Kurt Inder and Jeremy Costello. The show kicks of with Dourado providing a fully improvised set featuring guest spots from Copeland and co.

As song reaches into the air, so it forms and we listen intently.
