Fitset #FeelGood Labs @ Southgate Centre

Fitset is teaming up with Southgate Centre and 18 local boutique fitness studios to host 9 weekends of uniquely curated, 1 hour fitness pop ups. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-Noon beginning October 14th until December 10th there will be a unique workout free for anyone to attend. Just RSVP beforehand through Eventbrite, bring your workout gear, a water bottle and get ready to sweat!

#FeelGood Challenge:

-Attend 10 of 18 fitness classes and receive a 1-month Fitset pass (5-plan) an get entered into a draw for a $200 Southgate giftcard.

Saturday Oct 14th ~OPENING PARTY~ Tai Chi Warmup, Bootcamp Intervals + Morning Dance Party

with Awake - AWAKE is not just dance fitness, it is a celebration of our lives and the good that we can manifest in the weeks and months ahead of us. Drala Tai Chi warm-up will be first with movements coming from a Taoist Master to promote a healthy increase to your energy and a sense of well being. Next will be Kimomentum bootcamp cardio intervals to get your heartrate up ending with DJ Drala and Pilgrim brining the music and dancefloor vibes for you to move your body however you want!

Sunday Oct 15th - SPICY HIIT

with ***** Conditioning - HIIT classes stand for High Intensity Interval Training. This is a highly effective workout that combines the importance of cardiovascular training while performing strength and resistance training (weight training) exercises. By combining these two important aspects of training all in one workout – this puts your body in an extremely high fat burning state, and this is why HIIT is becoming one of the most popular styles of training around. Saturday Oct 21st - Zen the F-Out

with Moksha Yoga Edmonton - A yin yoga experience comprised of three to five minute holds in postures that will focus on relaxing and releasing compression. Sunday Oct 29th - Fit Mom from the Core

with Fit your Life - Join RN and Exercise Physiologist Kellie Willie along with Pre- and Postnatal Fitness Specialist Jamie Straker as they take you through a sweaty postnatal workout. Most, if not all, women will experience some form of pelvic floor or core dysfunction after giving birth. With proper core activation and alignment, you CAN become the strongest version of yourself even after having babies! This class is suitable for all moms, 8 weeks to 30+ years postpartum and spouses are welcome too! Babywearing, prenatal, pelvic floor and core rehabilitation modifications will be offered. (note: this is not a replacement for diagnosis through a pelvic health specialist. If you are under the care of a physician, midwife, or pelvic health physiotherapist please consult with them before attending.) We look forward to sweating alongside you and your Littles!

Saturday Nov 4th - 9 Round Kickboxing Circuit

Saturday Nov 11th - Remembrance Day Tribute *LEARN TO FLY* Beginner Acro Yoga Jam

with The Great Canadian Fitfest., Solid Base Acro - Acroyoga Fitness and Movement, and friends - This special 90 minute #FeelGood Lab will be in honor of all those who have served our country. We will remember those who gave their lives to allow us the freedoms we have today by observing 2 minutes of silence at 11am exactly. Afterwards, a team of certified acro-yoga instructors will walk us all through some of the fundamentals of AcroYoga.You will be introduced to basic poses and flows in a fun and safe environment. Important to know:

**SUITABLE TO ALL LEVELS - no previous experience in acroyoga or yoga needed
**NO NEED TO BRING A PARTNER - bring a partner, friends or just come alone

Saturday Dec 9th - Modern Flow

with Navina Yoga - A modern flow that will connect movement with breath, and through this anchored awareness with your breath will allow you to find your effort with ease. This class is suited for all levels and suitable for all needs as we simultaneously target strength and flexibility. The movements are delivered slowly to ensure adequate time for you to apply the cue's appropriate for your body, adjust and offer you time to explore the position. This leaves you with space to know what it feels like rather than trying to just go with what the posture looks like. This balanced class will have you leaving stronger, lighter, and we hope a lot happier too!
