Cambridge University Teacher Briefing: Doncaster | The McAuley Catholic High School | Monday, 01. July 2019

The University of Cambridge Regional Teacher Briefings are free information and professional development events for teachers, run in local schools and colleges. Their aim is to help teachers and HE Advisers support academic students to make strong applications to highly selective universities. They are particularly appropriate for Key Stage 5 teachers and HE Advisers, though Key Stage 4 teachers who focus on academic progression and transition will benefit from them too. An Admissions Tutor and Schools Liaison personnel will be present at each event, normally from the region’s Area Link College(s).
Each event will include presentations and practice, and will be flexible to the needs of participants. The exact timetable is TBC, but sessions are likely to include:

Cambridge Admissions: Introductions and Updates

The Application Process: An Admissions Tutor’s Perspective

Personal Statements and Super-Curricular Exploration

Admissions Assessments

Interviews
