(Learn how to make natural handmade soap)

About this Event

Have you ever wondered how to make natural handmade soap? Here is your chance! Learn to make soap the traditional way, using a method called Cold Process. This class will give you safety tips as well as a beginner's Cold Process soap recipe. Each class combines a demo and directions to make a 1lb batch of scented and colored soap. We will review various soap ingredients including oils and butters, and most importantly lye safety. Each student will receive a pack of handouts with recipes, ingredients, and soap making instructions. Please dress in an old long sleeved shirt, jeans or sweats. Bring rubber gloves, a **** mask and goggles. Come enjoy, have fun and make natural handmade soap with me!

ABOUT NIEMA I have always been intrigued with creating natural handmade products. In 2008 my husband developed eczema, so I began to research the process of how to make natural soap. In 2009, I made my very first batch of cold processed soap. With a lot of trial and error, I was able to find out what ingredients were beneficial for the body. For another year, I passed out samples to family and friends. Fast forward a decade, and I have twenty types of soap scents ranging from unscented to scented, and four different types of body butters. I think, eat, and sleep soap! This is my passion, and I am excited to share that passion with you!
