COLBY LOOP 3.2KM RACE | Saint John XXIII Parish | Saturday, 23. June 2018

Bring the whole family out for the third annual Colby Loop 3.2km running race! This chip timed event welcomes runners, walkers and babies in strollers! Stick around for an after race BBQ where you have the chance to meet all those people you see walking and jogging the loop daily! We will award prizes to the top ***** Male and Female (Over 12) and top Youth Male and Female (12 and under). Your race fee ($25.00 *****, $15.00 kids) includes a Colby Loop 3.2km T-shirt, an official Atlantic Chip time and a BBQ! Race kit pick up is at Pope John Church on Friday June 22nd, 5:00-8:00 and Saturday June 23rd, 7:00am-9:00am. Race starts at 10:00am on Saturday June 23rd on Colby Drive in front of Pope John Church.

Important info and dates:

Race location and course: The run starts on Colby Drive, in front of Pope John Church. The first part of the race takes you down a generous hill, past Colby Elementary and The Bible Chapel. The course levels out as you turn the corner by the "B" Streets. The hilly section of this race begins just after Bissett Lake. Now it's time to separate the contenders from the pretenders as the racers will climb the largest hill on Colby Drive. With a total elevation of 250 feet and just under a km, this part of the race should excite all. Runners will make their way past Cole Harbour Outdoor Pool and Tennis Complex and through the 4-way stop for the home stretch.

Race Day and Time: Saturday June 23rd, 10:00am

May 31st: Last day to register to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

June 22nd: Race kit pick up at Pope John Church 5:00-8:00

June 23rd: Race Kit pick up at Pope John Church 7:00am-9:00am
June 23rd: Race starts at 10:00am with a BBQ to follow.

** The registration fee is to cover all the costs associated with putting this event on. Any extra funds will be donated to a local charity. We really just want to have a fun event where we can celebrate this wonderful community (and loop) that we live in (and around)!!
