Vigil for Soli | Friday, 15. December 2017

One year. No answers. No justice. No accountability. And the mother, father, brothers, sister, family, and friends are still grieving and trying to understand why they have lost a beautiful man that was supposed to be given help and care rather than a brutal beating by prison guards that lead to his death under government care.
We are calling out Canadians who care about Justice, the most vulnerable in our society, and human rights to come remember our beloved Soleiman.

We will be hosting a vigil on December 15, 2017 at Dundas Square between 6pm-8pm to mark the one year anniversary of Soleiman’s tragic death.

NO CANDLES PLEASE. FLOWERS WILL BE USED INSTEAD AT THE VIGIL.

We appreciate all those who stand in solidarity with us, realize the importance of raising awareness about mental illness and the need for accountability and transparency for the individuals who are criminally responsible for Soleiman’s death.

Soleiman needed a bed and a doctor, instead he got fists and cuffs. We will not rest until our demands are met.

No Justice, No Peace.
