North Vancouver Christmas Lights for C | Saturday, 02. December 2017

**Update: Opening night Saturday Dec. 2nd will be 6:30 p.m. All other nights will start at 5:30 p.m. Lights turn off at 11 p.m.**

Happy Holidays!

From 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily until the last night of January 2nd, the Christmas Lights for Charity will be illuminated and 100% of both the cash and food donations go in support of the Harvest Project, Shriners Care for Kids and BC Epilepsy Society.

The house is located at 4967 Chalet Place, at the top of Skyline Drive, in North Vancouver.

Opening night is announced – Saturday December 2nd! Let’s hope we don’t blow any circuit breakers!

Online donations can be made here:

The lights have been featured on Global News, CTV News, the Province, CBC, Vancouver Sun, 24 Hours, the Metro Newspaper, the North Shore News, Daily Hive and other publications.

The display includes many of the usual favourites: Massive blow-ups, front garden lights that move to music, walk-up driveway display, Santa, elves, reindeer, snowmen – and many more. Kids love it!

This year, we estimate to haves tens of thousands of lights, including the return of our beloved star that hangs 86 feet in the air on ropes attached to massive trees (no nails are used). Every line on the star is 20-feet long. We have been told that this star is viewable from Coal Harbour and that the entire house can be seen by landing planes. It can be spotted from Stanley Park.

Last year, the display raised $18,472.22 and 182 bags of groceries. From 2010 to 2015, this display has raised $65,252.38 and 769 bags of groceries. Let's hope this year we raise even more!

About the charities:

The Harvest Project reaches out to individuals and families across Metro Vancouver’s North Shore who are challenged by family breakdown, illness, job loss and poverty.

The Shriners Care for Kids provides access to exceptional pediatric care based on medical need, not a family’s ability to pay.

The BC Epilepsy Society is a provincially incorporated non-profit, and federally registered charitable organization dedicated to serving British Columbians living with epilepsy, and their families.
