Calgary Introductory Workshop: with Jaci Hull | St. Andrews Heights, Calgary | Friday, 19. January 2018

The Hakomi Institute has been guiding therapists and healing arts professionals to connect deeply, quickly and effectively with their clients for over 30 years. Using mindfulness techniques to uncover the body’s wisdom, therapists learn to engage the client’s curiosity and compassion, helping them integrate their traumas, remember their basic rights and their innate wisdom, and discover new freedoms. In the last decade, studies continue to reveal how the mind and body are inseparable when exploring the realms of emotional, traumatic and psychological wounding. The Hakomi Method has been incorporating this principle since the 1970’s, teaching clinicians to use states of consciousness and techniques that not only bring mind and body together, but create a therapeutic relationship that allows for safe, deep and expansive self exploration.

In this training, participants will learn:

· How the Principles of Mindfulness, Non-violence, Unity, Organicity and Mind-Body Wholeness serve to create an elegant and effective therapeutic flow
· How Neuroscience supports the basic principles and techniques of The Hakomi Method
· How to track for unconscious needs and create a precise and effective therapeutic hypothesis
· How to create experiments in mindfulness to gain clarity of the client’s dilemma and gently challenge limiting beliefs and body habits
· How to tap into the client’s innate wisdom in order to assist their individual and unique unfolding.
· How unconscious beliefs of the therapist may be impeding his or her effectiveness in the session.
· How forming a healthy learning environment accelerates learning , creates safety, connection and community
