'Developing the Space between Stimulus and Response'

Two Day Course which covers understanding and teaching self control and frustration tolerance to dogs and how rewards influence cognitive control. There is a mix of theory and practical helping your dog develop focus, memory, self regulation and executive function.
Controlling movement, emotion and impulses by developing the ability to focus, task switch, wait patiently, listen with their whole body and leave things they cannot have.
This is ideal for individuals and also trainers looking for ideas for classes and exercises to do with clients such as The Waiting Game, ‘Karate K9, Task Switching Ninja and much more

About your speaker
Jane has been training dogs for over 20 years and has been working full time as a professional trainer for over 13 years specialising in helping pet owners with working line bred dogs

Jane has a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour and Training from Hull University and an Advanced Diploma in the Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training
Jane is the Kennel Club Dog Trainer of the Year 2015 a prestigious award presented to her at Crufts 2016
Jane has a City and Guilds Award in Education and Training

Jane is a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT UK) Membership no. 1058 and a Registered Animal Trainer with the Animal Training and Behaviour Council (ATBC)

Jane shares her home currently with five dogs, a 13 year old Polish Lowland Sheepdog Snoopy, and four Working Cocker Spaniels, Pickles, The Stig, Mia and Drift

Jane breeds Working Cocker Spaniels under the Riverirk Affix and works them regularly through the shooting season achieving the Kennel Club Working Gundog Certificate on Game with one of her Cockers
