The 2018 Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival | Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival | Friday, 15. June 2018

Canada’s longest standing 100% Canadian Content festival – the Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival!
Since 2008 the Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival (originally the Beaumont Blues Festival) has been presenting the Alberta capital region with the best in live Canadian blues, roots, folk, rockabilly and country music.
With a simple goal of providing high quality live music for all ages, the BBRF has continued to grow and expand from our grassroots beginnings into a world class festival. Beaumont is located just 15 minutes south of the city of Edmonton.
The Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival Society is pleased to present the BBRF with sponsorship by the Town of Beaumont, happening in the heart of town at Four Seasons Park.
Since 2010 the BBRF has featured Youth at the Blues to support and promote local under aged 22 musicians and groups of all genres. We showcasing our YABC throughout our Festival weekends.

  • We had a great presentation at the Council Meeting the other evneing, and wanted to share some of it with you, our fans. Thank you to the Mayor and Council for the opportunity to once again present the annual summary and plans for the Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival (BBRF). It is always great to look back at all that this festival has brought to our town and how much impact this event has had. From our humble beginnings with 300 people in attendance to our record of 6000+ in 2017 that drew guests from all parts of Canada, the USA and overseas! Growing to a place where we can offer support and opportunity for our local youth through performance, volunteer and fundraising opportunities. Giving back to other not for profits through our knowledge and experience and building on the upstanding reputation the festival has in the Canadian entertainment industry. Some stats on the attached slides from the presentation. In 2017 alone the BBRF - supported the Edinburgh Entourage 2K18, Painted Door on Main, Artists' Association of Beaumont, Beaumont Society For The Arts and more local youth and not for profit groups. - Represented Beaumont and provided an amazing experience for the Beaumont High School QSA through our float in the Edmonton Pride Parade. The joy that we shared with those local youth was beyond words. - Injected over $500,000 into the local economy through local businesses and festival vendors. - hosted 2 other sold out local events on Halloween and St.Patrick's day Listening to our customers and the community the 2018 plans include potentially enhanced youth and children's programming including entertainment, interactive workshops and activities. Providing songwriting and music based workshop opportunities for our teens to interact with some of the main stage artists. To meet the increased demand the BBRF will look at expanding our resources and facilities to increase attendance and not have to turn anyone away. Always grateful not only for the grant funding we receive from the town but for all the support we receive from parks and facilities including the use of Four Season Park and the support from staff and administration. THANK YOU Town of Beaumont! #BBRF2018 #lifeisbetter https://www.facebook.com/BeaumontBlues/photos/pcb.10159786101180147/10159786088870147/?type=3&theater
