  • "The art of the sword only consists in crossing, putting both strikes and thrusts in their rightful place, bringing war to those who oppose you" - Philippo di Vadi In this class we'll explore Vadi's approach to fighting with the longsword. We'll learn to use Vadi's guards which are optimized to make your strikes and parries faster with good body structure, while also emphasizing quick advancing and gathering steps. "... Because all long movements are for nothing." -Philippo di Vadi Then we'll take these concepts and apply them to approaching zogho largo (Wide play), controlling the center line and seizing the initiative in the fight. I'm looking forward to this class and hope to see you there :)
